I am no food gourmet but i really need to mention this 2 stalls i tried during the weekend.

Have anyone tried this 'Ren Ren Da Xia Mian aka People people big prawn mee' at Geylang Lorong 12?

It's supposed to be very good or something looking at the different newspaper articles on their signboard.

My verdict: It isn't worth the price you pay for.
The cheapest was like $5/bowl.
It doesn't really taste good.
Their specialty is just the big prawns.

Next stop was the Ponggol Nasi Lemak at Hougang area.

The nasi lemak is supposed to be damn good also looking at the queues and articles but guess what i feel again?

My verdict: The rice is fragrant but contains too much MSG.
The chilli is lousy cause it has too much 'hei bi' making it very dry.
The chicken wing is crispy but it's too salty and so is the long beans.
And it's not very cheap too.

Give me Boonlay's nasi lemak anytime. It's so much nicer & yet cheaper.

This shows that not all stalls with long queues and lots of articles pasted on their signboard means the food they sell is delicious.

Think it's just because that Singaporeans like me are just curious as to what is so special about them or another reason is that they are just used to eating them, so as to even when their standards drop, it's also ok.
