Am watching Girls out Loud on YouTube now.

Ros was interviewing some ang mohs about our lingo (Singlish).

She gave them words like 'vomit blood', 'shake leg', & 'itchy backside'.

To us Singaporeans, everyone knows their meaning like as if it's in the universal dictionary.

But to them, it sounds so weird & they have no idea what it means in our lingo.

They feel that vomit blood is associated to a person who has serious injuries thus comes the term vomit blood.

Shake leg is something like dancing or get moving or a form of dance routine.

The funniest word to them was itchy backside. They think that it's some kind of disease, to get out of that place, in need of the toilet or simply warts.

Frankly speaking, i love Singlish! It beings an identity out in Singaporeans, though it can be quite embarrassing when you're overseas.

This is how all things worked...
